Metro Moose Alumni Update

The Metro Moose are proud to give a few updates on the alumni front. With tryouts finished up and the regular season beginning at the college level, the Moose have been getting good news for weeks now.

From last year’s Junior B team and Junior C team Charlie Gotard (Marist College), Pat Brown (Marist College), Bobby Murphy (Lake Forest), Dan Wall (SUNY Albany), Allen Khiger (Wagner College), Justin Perkins (NYU), Matthew Duffy (William Patterson), and Joe Forcia (CW Post) have all made their respective college teams. Gotard and Brown followed fellow Metro Moose alumni, goaltender Steven Massamillo to Marist College. The team has gotten off to a good start, thanks in large part to Gotard and Brown. Both players have gotten big minutes in their first month of college hockey and they look to continue with their success as the season progresses.

Bobby Murphy, a forward on last year’s Moose team also sent good news back to the organization. Bobby, now a freshman at Lake Forest University, was rewarded for his hard work at tryouts by receiving a spot on this year’s club hockey team. Bobby, should contribute right away and hopefully lead his team to many victories as well this year.

Dan Wall, the captain of last year’s Junior B team is now attending SUNY Albany. Dan joins an already talented Albany roster that saw them make a trip to nationals last year. Dan should add immediate toughness and a big shot to the team.
