Former Moose Sam Manzi moves up to AJHL

The Metro Moose are proud to announce that forward Sam Manzi will be suiting up for coach Steve Washkalavitch and the Philadelphia Little Flyers of the AJHL this season. After spending just one season with the Moose, he was able to advance to the next level.

In 47 games played Sam tallied nineteen goals and 35 assists for fifty four points. Sam, a very good skater used his speed and tenacity to add balance to the Moose forward group. Sam was a key part of the team’s power play and penalty killing units as well. He was an impressive plus + 41 overall despite missing some time with a nagging ankle injury.

Sam said “Playing for the Moose was quite an experience. The coaching staff helped improve my foot with and without the puck. The off ice workouts we went through dramatically changed my conditioning level. Another big help for me was the video sessions. It helped me with my hockey IQ as far as being able to see my mistakes very clearly.”
